About the role

Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.

We are looking for an Analyst to assist in development and execution of the sales & operations planning (S&OP) process, which will deliver superior value across the value chain of our US-based copper business.

This role is a great opportunity for a developing techno-commercial practitioner who is interested in driving commercial value through operational and supply chain excellence.

Reporting to the Manager Integrated Sales Operations you will:

  • Work closely with Sales, Logistics and Operations teams to optimise margin through schedule and contract decisions.
  • Contribute to improvement in scheduling processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide insights into risks and opportunities, focusing on the 0-2-month period.
  • Actively participate in improving our technology and data solutions.
  • Assist with operational reporting and visualisations to enhance decision making.
  • Support existing sales and customer service as well as new business development.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • University degree in either Business, Engineering, Logistics, Marketing or related fields.
  • Experience in commercial aspects of commodity marketing/trading and/or supply chain.
  • Analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making.
  • Ability to work in multi-functional teams and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle.
  • Additional knowledge or certifications related to the copper market or mining operations.

It will also be beneficial if you have:

  • Prior experience with S&OP, supply chain and/or demand planning
  • Experience in copper industry or commodities / mining
