Facility Technician - Van Nuys, CA

As a Facility Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.). Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Requires knowledge of applicable standards or regulations and may require specific trade certifications.

Must have skills:


  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior working experience; In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
  • 8-10 years of Facilities Engineering experience
  • 3 years in a Facilities leadership/Management role
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs (CMMS).
  • Progressive experience in Facilities leadership
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience



Nice to Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering related field
  • HVAC as a nice to have skill
  • Electrical experience is a nice to have

Education & Experience


  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.




Additional skills:


  • Ability to lift 40 lbs with occasional 2 person lifts
  • Maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, etc.).
