Job Summary

Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, this position supervises the daily operations of the specialty docket programs in collaboration with the Department's management team. This position supervises staff assigned to the department's specialty docket programs (Adult Recovery Court, Behavioral Health and Veterans Treatment dockets). The incumbent attends staffing/docket sessions, acts as coordinator or probation officer when needed, provides coaching and performance evaluations, staffs difficult cases, and proofreads official correspondence and Court reports.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or related field; three (3) years criminal justice or counseling work experience in a criminal justice, jail, or corrections setting to include experience working with specialty docket programs (Adult Recovery Court, Behavioral Health or Veterans Treatment Docket Programs); and, a minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience; and, experience working on multi-disciplinary teams composed of diverse stakeholders required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Criminal and DMV background checks required which are conducted through Department VCIN terminal. Valid driver's license and good driving record (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification). Hold or obtain a certification to operate a VCIN terminal within 90 days of hire, which requires fingerprint check. First aid certification preferred. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
