Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network-Savvy CNO Developer to join our SAS team supporting the Network Device team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge capabilities for network-based systems and appliances. This position offers a flexible labor category (CS 2/3) and is ideal for individuals with deep knowledge of network protocols, embedded systems, and CNO development in real-time environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced CNO capabilities for network devices

  • Write efficient, low-level code in C, tailored to custom embedded environments

  • Perform reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis on network appliances

  • Support both new capability development and enhancement of existing tools

  • Collaborate with mission teams to ensure capabilities meet operational goals and system constraints

  • Analyze and manipulate network protocols, device behavior, and traffic patterns

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field

  • 5+ years of experience with C development and reverse engineering

  • Experience developing CNO tools for network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls)

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, mission-focused environment

  • Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stack, routing protocols, etc.)

  • Experience with network device appliances, including configuration and embedded behaviors

  • Hands-on experience in Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environments

  • Familiarity with tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Wireshark, or similar

  • Understanding of secure coding practices and operational security
