Job Overview:

Step into the world of our Precision and Science Technologies division where precision engineering meets scientific innovation to drive a new frontier of excellence. We design and deliver a wide range of pumps, fluid management systems, accessories, and aftermarket parts, each engineered to perform in specialized and mission-critical applications. As Quality Manager, you will lead the Quality Department and serve as a key member of the local leadership team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 International Quality Standards, including the development, implementation, and maintenance of all related procedures and audits at our facility. You'll work closely with Procurement to ensure external suppliers-both domestic and international-consistently deliver raw materials and components that meet stringent engineering and purchasing specifications.

Responsibilities:


  • Supervise Quality Technicians and oversee plant warranty administration.

  • Create and foster a highly engaged and performing team, through strategic talent and engagement plans.

  • Manage plant compliance with ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 Quality System standards, coordinating ISO visits and managing corrective actions from external audits.

  • Drive improvement of First Pass-Yield data, supplier scorecards, warranty trends, and other quality metrics.

  • Manage key processes such as 4D/8D, SCAR, CAPA to enhance Customer Satisfaction and improve Supplier performance.

  • Develop and implement effective quality control processes aligned with customer needs and requirements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer Service Teams to address customer and production issues for product portfolio (legacy and/or new products).

  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related production issues.

  • Collaborate with external vendors to enhance manufacturing processes for purchased components.

  • Actively engage in Kaizen Events and Lean activities to improve quality and reduce manufacturing waste and costs.

  • Utilize advanced Quality Assurance techniques (FMEA, CMM Inspection, GD&T, Gage R&R Studies, Process Capability Studies, Six Sigma, statistical quality/process control methods) to proactively manage product quality.




Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management preferred) with -

  • 8+ years of quality assurance experience, ideally in a machining/assembly facility, and -

  • 5 years of progressive leadership, managing quality assurance programs and leading audits.

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and knowledge of general machinery.

  • Experience in Manufacturing/Quality Engineering in machining manufacturing, utilizing Lean Six Sigma techniques.

  • Proficient in regulatory accreditation processes (UL, CE, ATEX, IECEx, CSA, CSA-UK, TUV, NSF, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, ITAR, and related).

  • Experience in managing and implementing quality control procedures and relevant standards.

  • Previous exposure ERP systems, preferably SAP

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Travel and Work Arrangements

This position is based fully On-site at the Alsip, IL manufacturing facility
Required travel is up to 15% customers, and suppliers as necessary

The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
