Description

Starting Salary Range: $162,000.00 - $184,000.00 - position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.

In the pivotal role of Manager Resource Adequacy Planning, you will drive business activities to ensure Resource Adequacy (RA) outcomes are achieved promptly and in compliance with the tariff. You will play a part in facilitating executive communication and presentations on future RA scenarios and their implications. Your responsibilities will include extensive engagement with customers, state and federal regulators, and stakeholders, driving enhancements to improve efficiency, and ensuring the reliable integration of RA reforms within existing business tools and processes. Additionally, you will focus on developing team capabilities and results with an emphasis on business continuity, skillset relevance, and succession planning.

In your first year as Manager Resource Adequacy Planning, your success will be measured by your ability to train & manage performance of team members, your ability to apply a comprehensive understanding of RA business practices, tools, and stakeholder needs to sustain and enhance ongoing RA activities and outcomes. You will also identify and spearhead process and technology changes in alignment with MISO's corporate objectives.

We seek candidates who possess the following qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or related degree; and at least two years technical experience in Resource Adequacy, or related field
  • At least two years of experience of staff management.
  • At least five years of experience within any of the following areas: ISO/RTO Resource Adequacy, Generation interconnection or Transmission Planning, Utility resource planning, state regulatory engagement, energy/capacity market design or operations


While not mandatory, the following attributes would be highly desirable:



  • Master's degree in engineering, economics, or business


Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
