Title: Site Material Expeditor
Location: Freeport, TX

Salary: $71,000 - $96,500
Schedule: 4-10s; 9-80 available

Focus: The Site Material Expeditor is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely deliveries of material to the Freeport Site and assisting in the Global Materials Management Work Process.

The Freeport site is the single largest chlor alkali complex in the world with more than 1,000 employees. The chemical products produced at our Freeport location include chlorine and caustic soda, vinyls, epoxies, chlorinated organics, aromatics, bleach, hydrogen, and hydrochloric acid.

Site Material Expeditor Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage open purchase orders to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and orders are correct; identify and implement work process improvements
  • Work with vendors to ensure the purchase order process is complete
  • Track open purchase orders and communicate the status to stakeholders; ensure purchase orders are monitored and closed timely and accurately
  • Work with Receiving to ensure products received are inspected and/or quality checks are performed where applicable
  • Assist Purchasing through the QSPP process and provide feedback on vendor Key Performance Indicators

Site Material Expeditor Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • SAP and Excel experience including ability to create reports for tracking open purchase orders; previous experience creating purchase requisitions
  • Knowledge of MRO work process and QSPP process for vendor performance
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
