ABOUT THE JOB:

The Director, Strategy and Financial Planning will provide financial/operational decision-making support for the Commercial Organization. A successful candidate will take the lead in developing analytical frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and conducting analyses and interpreting results to develop actionable recommendations to Commercial Leadership. Specifically, the Director, Strategy and Financial Planning will support Enterprise Accounts, key vertical end market leaders, and large project opportunities within Construction Services to support identification of, and execution on key business opportunities. This includes strategic opportunity identification strategies, bid support, project execution, and project administration.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Strategic Finance Support:



  • Partner with the leaders of Enterprise Accounts and Verticals and collaborate with existing finance and commercial staff to deliver analytics and reporting to drive revenue growth in the organization at goal.
  • Support strategic vertical business development through financial modeling relative to use case economics, fleet and capital investment ROI, and resourcing modeling.
  • Assist in developing metrics to rank favorability to prioritize focus.
  • Support budget and annual goal development for the Enterprise Account, Key Verticals, and Construction Services teams



Project & Bid Support:



  • Support Master Lease Agreement ("MLA") negotiations, large project proposals and large project execution within Enterprise Accounts, Key Verticals, and Construction Services as the key finance stakeholder in the process.
  • Lead standardization of MLAs and project proposals to ensure a timely and efficient bidding/negotiation process and all relevant stakeholders can make informed decisions.



Performance & Reporting:



  • Develop Monthly/Quarterly nancial reports for internal use by key stakeholders at the company and/or with key customers by collecting, analyzing, formatting, and presenting information, including variance analysis of actual operating and financial results to budget and/or forecast and prior periods
  • Monitor & Track performance indicators at the customer, project level, account manager, and key vertical level, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances
  • Assist with staff models to support growth forecasts.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis on Company's key performance indicators for executives and key internal stakeholders.



Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration:



  • Support of other business development initiatives (e.g. verticals, new products lines etc.)
  • Support budget and annual goal development for the Enterprise Account, Key Verticals, and Construction Services teams
  • Serve as key contact for large project collection efforts ensuring receivables stay current utilizing other centralized and field leadership to drive down Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and AR balances for large projects and Enterprise and Key Vertical Account Customers
  • Work in close collaboration with HR and Enterprise Account and Key Vertical Leadership on commission improvement initiatives



Process and Program Leadership:



  • Assist with structure of rebate programs, and implementation of new referral programs and other alternative structures to drive increased volumes.
  • Assist and review proposal scope and risk management, pricing/profitability, fleet planning (including ROC and fleet investment considerations), and payment terms.
  • Serve as the liaison with vertical account leaders and the strategy and product development group on key initiatives and vertical strategy development
  • Assist customer service and shared services in identifying areas to improve billing and collection practices across the portfolio.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate or field finance, planning, or business analytics
  • Critical thinking skills to independently solve complex problems with creative solutions
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment including working on customer bids and projects
  • Professional presence with which to interact and influence internally at all levels of the organization including Divisional and Functional Management, C-level Leadership, and field management (Regional/General Managers, Branch Managers/Operations Leaders, Branch Coordinators)
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills and comprehension of financial reporting
  • Expert prociency with Microsoft Oce applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Prociency working with Data Visualization- (i.e. Tableau) tools
  • Proficiency working with ERP and Planning systems (SAP and Hyperion preferred)
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills and comprehension of nancial reporting
