We have an opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our Delavan, WI team. You will provide leadership for the quality team in the resolution of problems and continuous improvement of products, processes, and the quality management system. This position will work within the Delavan plant leadership team addressing all areas of business operations and focusing on achieving world class quality and operating objectives.

You will:

  • Understand organizational structures and organizational development to support the quality objectives and build the desired quality culture throughout the organization.
  • Understand techniques for facilitating organizational change, removing roadblocks, performing constraint management, motivating employees, and resolving conflicts.
  • Deploy strategic goals and objectives into operational plans and improvement projects on all levels of the organization.
  • Facilitate and promote problem-solving tools (the seven quality control tools, the seven management and planning tools, root cause analysis, Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), 8D, and other like models throughout the facility).
  • Facilitate and promote process management / lean manufacturing approaches with a quality principled focus.
  • Drive process and product improvements to reduce internal defects, warranty, and scrap at all levels of the supply chain.
  • Proactively approach customer feedback and make trips to the field to help build relationships and a clear understanding of expectations. Continually anticipate customer needs and priorities; and integrate them into the quality system and policy.
  • Develop and maintain techniques for communicating requirements to suppliers.
  • Maintain key performance metrics on the results of operating systems and business execution (external warranty, supplier performance, internal PPM, and other KPIs).
  • Compile and present quality metrics, countermeasures, and action plans for operations reviews with top management.
  • Conduct management reviews of the quality system and adjust as necessary to align the system to the business strategy and adhere to ISO 9001.
  • Ensure that the operations training program is in alignment with strategic business needs and the quality objective using various methods (training needs analysis, training curriculum development, and techniques for evaluating training effectiveness).
  • Work with new product development teams to ensure that products are designed with quality in mind. Including execution of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Create an environment where people can grow and develop, and lead by example in creating a positive, "can do" culture.
  • Have had success in driving product integrity, process quality, and supplier quality using the appropriate technology and business tools such as Lean Manufacturing, PPAP, SCAR, and SPC.
  • Coaches and develops a team of quality engineers and quality technicians resulting in a high level of employee engagement.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional leadership to identify issues and enhance organizational design, development, and training.
  • Leads the acquisition of quality team talent by fostering relationships with internal and external talent pipeline resources.
  • Defines and leads the talent management strategy, roadmap, and operational plan to ensure talent capabilities are in place to enable business growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience in a decision-making position that drives results.
  • ISO 9001 or similar certification experience.
  • Have prior success in driving toward world-class product integrity, process quality, and supplier quality using the appropriate technology and business tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DOE, SPC, SCAR.
  • Have experience in handling multiple projects, and driving bottom-line results, and must be able to lead and develop teams consisting of manufacturing personnel (technical and operations), managers, and suppliers.
  • Five percent travel or less to domestic and international suppliers, customers, and Pentair sites as appropriate.
  • Strong communicator with experience in Microsoft suite, including ability to analyze data in excel and Power BI.
  • Experience reading GD&T prints.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $95500 - $177300 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
