About the Position This position serves as the primary driver of the Mobile Medical Vehicle to various clinics, health fairs, and community events. You will assist with the delivery of patient care services and management, and navigation of participants on and off the mobile unit. You will also assist with preparations and ongoing maintenance of the Mobile Medical Vehicle, such as ensuring overall cleanliness before, during, and after visits; performing equipment checks; maintaining inventory supplies; and performing other duties required to support the Mobile Medical Vehicle's readiness to operate and to accept participant encounters. We Require
Two years of experience operating CDL vehicles High school diploma or GED Must possess a valid Class A Arizona State Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a clean driving record State and federal regulations require Maricopa County to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for all positions that require an applicant to possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Maricopa County is also required to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for positions that directly impact commercial motor vehicle safety, but may not specifically require a valid CDL

Coordinate and schedule the use of the mobile medical unit with programs within the department Work with the hosting site to ensure all logistical needs are met for using the mobile medical unit Operate the mobile medical unit, ensuring safe transportation to scheduled locations in full compliance with all traffic laws and regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and handle setup and breakdown of the Mobile Unit at designated locations. Provide on-site support, including assisting clients as they enter and exit the unit, managing crowd control, greeting visitors, offering directions, and performing clerical duties as needed. Responsible for maintaining mileage and travel logs accurately Ensure the mobile medical unit is mechanically sound and available for use by ensuring preventative maintenance is completed, maintaining fuel, and coordinating maintenance when needed Create and update as needed the operation/use manual and guidelines for utilizing the unit Provide post-event evaluation and reports to program and division management. Identify areas of concern and solutions where needed. Coordinate response efforts with the Office of Preparedness and Response when needed Responsible for operating Sprinter Vans to and from community events, including conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Duties include setting up and breaking down equipment at event sites. Provides on-site support, which may include assisting clients entering and exiting the unit, managing crowd flow, greeting attendees, offering directions, and performing basic clerical tasks as needed
