Summary
The driver will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials for DSV. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to transportation laws and regulations, and excellent customer service skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to and from designated locations
* Load and unload cargo, using appropriate equipment and securing materials to prevent damage during transportation
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any defects or malfunctions
* Follow all transportation laws and regulations, including weight and size restrictions, hours of service, and hazardous materials regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and dress code
* Handle basic maintenance tasks, such as changing tires, refueling, and cleaning vehicles
* Handle all assigned tasks, including those that may fall within the scope of a warehouse operator

Educational background / Work experience
* Previous experience as a commercial driver is preferred but not always required.

Skills & Competencies
* Excellent driving skills, including the ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner
* Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations, including weight and size restrictions, hours of service, and hazardous materials regulations
* Ability to use and maintain a variety of commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate weights and distances
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
* Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
* Clean driving record
* Previous experience in the transportation and logistics industry
* Familiarity with GPS and other navigation systems
* Experience with basic vehicle maintenance and repair

For this position, the expected base pay is: $24.50 - $33.25 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
