About the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion: Located in Hillcrest, the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion is a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot medical facility designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our region. Spanning six floors, this advanced facility is home to key clinical programs and offers specialized diagnostic, treatment, and surgical services. With a strong emphasis on cancer care, we are committed to delivering world-class medical services in a patient-centered environment.

DESCRIPTION

Supervises the activities of anesthesia technicians and / or support staff, such as equipment technicians and patient care assistants. Assists with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources.Experience and solid subject matter knowledge to train and guide employees on anesthesia care and / or equipment techniques.

Key Responsibilities:- Directly supervises staff; develops and coordinates schedule to meet staffing levels and policies.

  • Supervises operations and is a resource on escalated customer service or workflow issues.

  • Ensures work is performed in compliance with established procedures.

  • Implements and evaluates practices to facilitate safe and quality care.

  • Inspects work activities to ensure work is performed according to prescribed policies and procedures.

  • Trains staff on new procedures. Recommends action plans for performance improvement based on staff feedback.

  • Assists with administration and management of resources; ensures expenses are maintained within budget.

  • Communicates and collaborates with intra-department supervisors and managers (Operating Room, Sterile Processing

  • Department, Infection Control, Materials Management). Provides input and recommends new processes and workflows to improve safety, utilization and efficiency in surgical areas.

  • Oversees stocking and preparing anesthesia and / or operating room equipment and supplies.

  • Ensures routine maintenance and safety checks of equipment, cleaning and disinfecting of equipment after use.

  • Manages repair of inoperable equipment.

  • Manages the maintenance of documentation for machine testing and quality control documentation, in compliance with quality assurance standards.

  • Trains staff, teaching quality and safety techniques. Mentors staff in meeting professional goals and developing growth areas.

  • Assists management in coordinating staff development, training, and competency assessment.

  • Participates in recruiting and orients new employees. Evaluates performance and competencies.

  • Serves as a role model for staff of technical expertise, professionalism and communication.

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration or related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Cer.A.T. certification from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass physical, drug screen and TB test.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $77,000 - $139,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $36.88 - $66.67

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
