The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) is seeking a Front Desk Associate (Compliance Specialist I) to serve as the first point of contact by creating a welcoming experience for guests, visitors, staff, and other stakeholders. This position will engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and will report to the Senior Director of Central Services.

MURR Facility Operations supports the critical infrastructure necessary to deliver the efficient and safe operation of the research reactor, isotope production, and research activities. This includes the development and maintenance of a long-term facility master plan.

Key Duties Performed by this position will include

* Promote facility safety and security by following policies, procedures, and federal regulations, and guiding guests and visitors through them
* Demonstrate outstanding customer service to staff, students, partners, visitors, etc. via phone, email, and in-person
* Administer check-in/check-out procedures for identification badges, dosimetry, keys, vehicle, etc.
* Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls and provide information, as appropriate
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records (logbooks, directories, distribution lists, etc.)
* Assist in the coordination and scheduling of facility tours
* Maintain facility-wide general office supply inventory
* Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail deliveries
* Prepare and format correspondence, reports, and other documentation as requested
* Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings and other events
* Provide administrative and clerical support for MURR personnel when needed
* Perform other related duties as assigned

Must be available for regular and consistent onsite work

Successful candidates will be reliable individuals with exceptional communication, customer service and organizational skills.

Shift

Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM but will require work outside of this schedule as needed. This includes holidays and university closures.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $17.05-$29.69 Hourly

Grade: GGS-006
