Accountant III (Remote)

Spectra Tech, Inc. is hiring for an Accountant III (Remote) position with some travel to Los Alamos, NM.

We are seeking an experienced Accountant III to support the Accounting and Finance Division. This role focuses on financial reporting, audit support, variance analysis, and historical record compilation. The position reports to the Controller and supports ongoing operations, special projects, and backup coverage for other team members.

• Compile, analyze, and reconcile financial data to meet reporting and audit requirements
• Identify financial trends and prepare narrative reports
• Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers to validate transactions
• Review and verify accuracy of financial documents and reports
• Reconcile financial information for timely audit responses

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of general ledger systems and business data integration
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organization
• No security clearance required

• Work Schedule: 40 hours/week
• Work Location: Primarily remote with some onsite onboarding required in Los Alamos, NM
