Salary Range: $66,699 - $141,734

Location: Hybrid within MA, CT, NY, VT, RI

Purpose/Objective:

The Sr. Salesforce Administrator acts as an advisor to lines of business and technology teams to understand technical impacts associated with supporting, and when necessary, scaling the existing salesforce environment. The Sr. Salesforce Administrator is responsible for recommending thoughtful design and practicable technical implementation with an understanding of the relevant constraints and opportunities while mitigating risk and minimizing technical debt. The role provides input to target state design, roadmaps, and stays current on salesforce releases, enhancements, and product opportunities. This role works closely with colleagues across IT and specifically with DevOps Subject Matter Experts (SME) to design end-to-end salesforce eco-system solutions that address specific business needs. The Sr. Salesforce Administrator plays an active role in gathering business requirements during discovery sessions, assisting in data mapping and governance, creating POCs, and delivering actionable design and technical documentation to developers based on Stakeholder analysis.

The Sr. Salesforce Administrator acts as a SME to ensure that the bank utilizes and enhances the digital eco-system that has been developed, including but not limited to Salesforce, Mulesoft, Snowflake and Talend, along with other target systems like nCino.

Key Accountabilities:




  • SALESFORCE ADMINISTRATION: Excellent knowledge of configuring and appropriately recommending Salesforce tools such as Action Plans, task automation, Lightning Flows, Flow Orchestration, OmniStudio, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports. Identify unused or underutilized functionality, and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience. Knowledge of working with Apex, including troubleshooting code and experience querying data utilizing SQL and SOQL. Proactively work with DevOps team to deploy new functionality related to the product roadmap. Actively participate in the drafting and deployment of user training and technical documentation. Conduct proactive system maintenance, including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer. Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed. 40%
  • SOLUTION ANALYSIS AND SUPPORT: Participate in analysis of business functions and areas of opportunity in support of the technology roadmap. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technology solutions. Responsible for identifying solutions that effectively address business and IT issues through technical analysis, troubleshooting, research, evaluation, and communication. Participate in vendor evaluations, identifying functional and technical capabilities required, as well as manage POCs and socialize recommendations. Address support tickets for more advanced functionality and project requests. Advanced understanding of system settings as it relates to security and access. Update Logical Access procedures and documentation as much as possible. Organize and ensure system remains clean and highly documented. 30%
  • ARCHITECTURE: Work closely with fellow DevOps SME's to design and architect integrated solutions that leverage salesforce out of the box solutions. Ability to create, review, and troubleshoot code in common languages such as Apex, Java, HTML, CSS, etc. Hands-on prototyping of new Salesforce solutions. Assists in building solutions for specific business problems while focusing on how the architecture will affect broader systems and processes across the organization including the ability to understand and communicate impact of upstream and downstream changes. An understanding of API-led architecture and how to integrate disparate systems and information to create an ideal user experience, both as a customer and a user. Functional knowledge of integrating systems utilizing APIs. Assess and provide architecture feedback taking into consideration business criticality, functional & technical fit, performance & risk. Understand the intersection of constraints and dependencies between existing bank technologies. Collaborate across functional lines of businesses, including Infrastructure, IT Risk and Data Governance to create holistically architected solutions. Define and document architecture standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and alignment with industry best practices. Provide guidance to the DevOps support team, including daily support and troubleshooting assistance. 30%


  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.



Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator
  • Additional Salesforce Certification preferred



Experience:



  • 5+ years' experience working as a Salesforce Administrator
  • Experience with PaaS and SaaS enterprise offerings: Salesforce, Mulesoft, Snowflake, nCino, and Talend
  • Experience with Atlassian programs, including Jira and Confluence
  • 3-5 years' experience in a Financial Services Institution preferred
  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes
  • Experience with CI/CD, Version Control; managing deployments with Visual Studio Code, SFDX and GitHub
  • Familiarity with Testing Automation Tools
  • Familiarity with Release Management tools



Skills & Knowledge:



  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to observe trends, uncover operational gaps, and actively make suggestions based on the results
  • Excellent knowledge of Financial Services Cloud
  • Experience in change management and governance
  • Excellent technical documentation skills
  • General understanding of API-lead architecture both on and outside of the Salesforce platform
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency and security
  • Familiarity with Apex, Java, HTML, CSS
