Another Source's client, University of the Pacific, is recruiting an Assistant Vice President for Alumni Engagement to join their team on-site in Stockton, California.

About the AVP for Alumni Engagement Role:

Reporting to the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, the AVP provides visionary leadership for a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy that advances the university's academic mission, philanthropic goals, and institutional priorities. You'll collaborate across schools, departments, and alumni communities to design experiences and structures that inspire lifelong loyalty and generosity.

From overseeing regional alumni clubs to energizing Homecoming Weekend and reunions, you'll be at the heart of Pacific's mission to keep its alumni connected, engaged, and proud.

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000

Relocation assistance is available.

What You'll Do:

    Lead and implement dynamic alumni engagement programming that fosters pride, belonging, and philanthropy among alumni, students, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and oversee a national network of alumni clubs in key geographic markets.
  • Partner closely with university leadership, faculty, and staff to align alumni outreach with institutional goals.
  • Guide and support the Pacific Alumni Association Board of Directors, ensuring mission alignment and impactful volunteer leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal communications teams to craft engaging, multi-channel messaging for alumni audiences.
  • Plan and oversee flagship alumni events, including Homecoming and Family Weekend, class reunions, and regional events.
  • Supervise and develop a high-performing team, setting clear goals and supporting growth.
  • Serve on the Development and Alumni Relations leadership team, helping shape divisional strategy.

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in higher education or the nonprofit sector.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A track record of designing effective engagement strategies aligned with philanthropic goals.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort representing the university to a broad range of constituents.
  • Familiarity with CASE standards is a plus.
