TITLE:Electrical Technician B

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The primary function of the electrical technician is to provide repairs, new installation, rebuilding, and maintenance on the equipment and facilities used to produce the product.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Vocational education desirable
  • Good oral/ written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.


  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPOSIBILITIES:



  • Forklift certified, electronic and mechanical devices, hand jack, utility knife
  • Performs trouble shooting and necessary repair of all machines and plant equipment with minimal supervision, in nearly all failure models and levels of complexity.
  • Perform assignments from work orders, sketches, or verbal instructions using all types of hand and power tools, welding and machine tools (lathe, mill, saw, etc.), testing and measuring equipment.
  • Fabrication of machinery parts using machinist, welding, and other maintenance skills.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) tasks as scheduled or assigned in an efficient manner to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Performs routine Storeroom duties and assignments as directed by the Maintenance Manager to monitor and maintain the inventory and security of the assets therein.
  • Performs work assignments, as directed, working effectively with other Maintenance department personnel.
  • Abides by all company policies including, but not limited to, Safety, Environmental, and Plant Rules; practices good housekeeping at all times.
  • Performs all assignments as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Production Manager.
  • Performs other duties as required to support the mission of the department and plant.
  • Run mill and lathe as needed
  • Works overtime as needed
  • Must be able to install starters, wiring, etc in panels
  • Must know all wires sizes and voltages and amp ratings
  • Understand electrical diagrams



WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • Manufacturing environment
  • Able to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
  • Loud noise
