This role is to primarily manage the third party expenditure for PG Forsta in the specific field of Indirect Services, ie IT, Marketing, Consultancy, Facilities, HR, Operations and Business Services. This role sits without PG Forsta's Strategic Procurement team where the vision and mission is to ensure that we help the internal teams to ensure that we procure the right good and services for the company at the best terms. This role will also support the identification and delivery of group wide synergies across PG Forsta, initially with a focus on recent Acquisitions. Working in conjunction with other team members this role will require the candidate to manage the strategic procurement process on behalf of the internal customer.

Key tasks will include:

  • Running RFP/RFP processes as required
  • Cost Optimization - continuously reviewing spend metrics to spot opportunities for cost savings
  • Facilitating contract renewals, with a focus on cost reduction and right sizing of requirements
  • Financial offer comparisons and recommendations
  • Negotiation of contract terms with suppliers
  • Liaising with business stakeholders and the legal team on contract drafting
  • Data Analysis and reporting

The ideal candidate will be a strong team player and relationship builder who is confident working independently. Attention to detail is essential along with a drive for operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the development and ownership of Category Strategies in relation to the Categories outlined.
  • Accountable for delivery of bought in goods and services at the lowest ultimate cost.
  • Responsible for managing the Procurement process to meet audit and compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for managing the relationship with internal customers to meet / exceed expectations.
  • Responsible for the Identification and delivery of synergies and savings benefits across all businesses in PG Forsta
  • Responsible for leading and coordinating of sourcing activities.
  • Responsible for supplier relationship management processes.
  • Accountable for clear communication of agreed strategy, purchasing updates, contract information.
  • Responsible for planning, coordination and prioritisation of support for all activities and projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring the right contractual conditions are in place to manage PG Forsta risk.

Key Relationships (Internal & External contacts):

  • Customer: Key stakeholders, budget managers (Business Unit, Executive and Senior Management),
  • VP Procurement
  • Internal Suppliers: i.e. Legal, Audit, Insurance & Tax, Finance, IT
  • External Suppliers: Current and potential providers of goods, services and advice to PG Forsta.

Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Competencies: (i.e. those (including qualifications) required to fulfil role:

  • Proven track record of Leadership, prioritization and managing under pressure.
  • Broad experience of building and leading Tenders and Negotiations
  • Ability to manage and analyze complex data under pressure
  • Understanding of Cultural Differences and ability to cultivate win/win solutions.
  • Awareness of Change Management Techniques and conversion into effective delivery
  • Strong Communication
  • Excellent Negotiation and Strategic Sourcing ability.
  • Strong Contracting Ability (10 years + experience)
  • Graduate Calibre
  • Demonstrable record in Outsourcing

This role is expected to work on an international basis both independently and as part of a leading multifunctional team. The individual within this role will be expected to be a proactive, self-starter, demonstrating a high degree of creativity and desire to raise the bar and work outside of their comfort zone.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS (ASSESSMENT CRITERIA):

TECHNICAL SKILL 1:

>10 years of International Procurement / Category Leadership Experience

TECHNICAL SKILL 2:

Demonstrable experience of managing high value high complexity projects and/or Sourcing processes/negotiation,

TECHNICAL SKILL 3:

Strong knowledge in Supplier Negotiation and Legal Contracts

TECHNICAL SKILL 4:

Understanding of key change drivers and knowledge and experience of harnessing them to maximize delivery.

TECHNICAL SKILL 5:

Strong understanding of IT, Facilities, HR, Operations and Business Services Markets in US and Europe

TECHNICAL SKILL 6:

Strong working knowledge of Outsourcing and performance measurement management techniques / supplier relationship management techniques.

Education:

Minimum High School Diploma and Bachelor degree in related filed preferred but not required.

The expected base salary for this position is $130,000 (annually). In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
