*Description*
We are looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy professional for an opening for a Printer Programmer & IT Support Specialist in Waukegan, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining a variety of printers, managing inventory and maintenance records in Excel, and providing essential IT support related to networking and device connectivity. *Key Responsibilities:* * Configure and program various printer types (thermal, laser, inkjet, etc.) to meet operational needs. * Maintain accurate records of printer inventory, configurations, maintenance schedules, and usage logs using Microsoft Excel. * Troubleshoot and resolve printer issues, including connectivity problems, driver installations, and firmware updates. * Manage printer network settings, including IP address assignments, DHCP reservations, and subnet configurations. * Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure seamless printer integration across the network. * Provide basic IT support for hardware and software issues related to printers and peripheral devices. * Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for internal knowledge sharing. *Required Skills & Qualifications:* * Hands-on experience with printer configuration and programming (experience with brands like Zebra, HP, Brother is a plus). * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, tables, and data tracking tools. * Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, DHCP, and subnetting. * Familiarity with Windows operating systems and printer driver installation. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to document technical processes clearly. *Preferred Skills:* * Experience in a support desk or IT helpdesk environment. * Knowledge of printer management software or enterprise print solutions. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
