The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a North American Distribution Sales Manager to maximize sales growth in the distribution channel through field and branch engagement and management of the distribution sales team. This employee will work out of a home office in the US with frequent travel.

The key responsibilities of this North American Distribution Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:



  • Performing all duties related to the management of direct reports, including but not limited to evaluations, PTO approval, expense report review, travel activity, and career development.
  • Reviewing and distributing monthly forecast and pipelines to business units
  • Running weekly forecast calls and training efforts
  • Auditing forecast and pipeline for balanced selling across all business units
  • Creating and managing sales campaigns in partnership with the operations
  • Coordinating sales strategies for key customers
  • Organizing various distributor events (sales meetings, conferences, training events, tech days)
  • Overseeing and participating in branch and business units' quarterly business reviews
  • Training and consistently traveling with sales team members in their territories
  • Participating at the annual Electronic Distribution Show (EDS) convention



The Person

The key skills and qualities of a North American Distribution Sales Manager at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience
  • At least 5 years' experience in electronics industry, connectors preferred
  • At least 3 years' experience in sales management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is a requirement
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, sense of urgency and follow-through skills
  • Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
