Government Lending Loan Support Manager

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, managing, supporting and coordinating all functions of Government Guaranteed Lending pre-close and post-close loan reviews, overseeing the post-closing disbursement process, tracking of hazard and flood insurance, tracking of UCC's and Title, tracking of property taxes, and ensuring compliance with all applicable SBA/504/USDA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

This position is expected to perform the specific duties, tasks, and responsibilities as outlined below:

  • Manage workflow and supervise, GGL Post-Closing Disbursement Specialists, and GGL Loan Review Officers with all Government Guaranteed Lending loan closings, reviews, and disbursements.

  • Reviews and provides decisioning and/or guidance on decisions with pre-closing and post-closing loan file reviews of SBA/504/USDA loans, ensuring compliance with Bank and guaranteed loan program requirements.

  • Leads the daily work activities of Government Guaranteed Lending Construction & Disbursement Specialists, and Loan Review Officers, and is a first resource for problem-solving.

  • Responsible for the tracking of Hazard and Flood Insurance, UCC's, Titles and Property Taxes.

  • Assists the Government Guaranteed Lending Senior Management Team in the process improvement activities for the team.

  • Assist with preparing files and documents for audits, as required.

  • Maintains/updates the Government Guaranteed Lending procedures manuals as needed, ensuring all procedures are current and in compliance with Bank policies and the SBA's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Acts as a technical advisor to the Government Guaranteed Lending Disbursement & Pre-Close Review Team, providing immediate support to all inquiries.

  • Participate in meetings to assist in handling escalated situations.

  • Monitors pipelines of Disbursement Specialists.

  • Recognize and proactively resolve potential problems in the loan disbursement process.

  • Assist Government Guaranteed Lending Relationship Managers as needed.

  • Assist those under this position in the Organizational Chart.

  • Provide superior and quality customer service.

  • Aid other employees by liaising with them through healthy and positive interactions.

  • Continuously update skills by participating in professional training offered by the Bank, SBA, NAGGL, etc.

  • Seek opportunities to improve skills through cross-training offered by the Bank.

  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities -- knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. College diploma preferred, but not required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years SBA experience, with 3 years or more in Managing/Leading a Government Guaranteed Lending Closing Team.

  • Knowledge: Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and ETRAN is required. Knowledge of Navigator Fiserv, Adobe, PCFS Loan Manager is preferred.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

On the job training and any additional training as identified by management. Required annual compliance training. Ongoing SBA SOP Training and New Employee Orientation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk. This position may require bending and reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
