Focus: The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will oversee the logistics operation within our manufacturing facility, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role is vital in ensuring all inbound and outbound materials are handled in accordance with internal quality standards and government contract requirements, including proper documentation, labeling, and chain-of-custody procedures. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership in warehouse logistics, experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, and a strong commitment to safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Shipping and Receiving Supervisor Essential Job Functions:
  • Supervise Production Control Operators within Centerfire and Rimfire operations.
  • Manage all freight booking and shipping for Government Ammunition Contracts.
  • Coordinate daily scheduling orders from customer service to ship in a timely, cost-effective manner, and promote utilization of warehouse personnel in picking, ordering, and truck loading.
  • Responsible for cycle count program, physical inventory, and adjustments.
  • Investigate and resolve errors on daily production and inventory reports.
  • Coordinate Direct-to-Customer Shipments as needed.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain functions by identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with inventory control processes including cycle counting, annual physical inventory, and variance investigation.
Shipping and Receiving Supervisor Minimum Requirements:
  • To be considered, candidates must meet one of the following minimum requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree* in a business-related field with 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse/manufacturing operations; OR,
    • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse/manufacturing operations.
  • Two (2) years in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of government shipping regulations and/or military contract administration preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean Project Leadership experience preferred.
  • Prior Winchester experience in a relevant position preferred.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
