The marketing and content Intern will support LA Times Studios through cross-functional collaboration across key departments, including Client Solutions, Content Development, Research, Affiliate Marketing, and Project Management. The primary goal of this role is to assist in the development, execution, and optimization of marketing initiatives, helping drive client engagement, streamline project delivery, and support the creation of compelling sales and content materials that showcase LA Times Studios' offerings.

Responsibilities:

Client Solutions



  • Assist in developing B2B sales materials, including decks, one-sheets, and proposals
  • Conduct research on audience trends, advertiser categories, and competitor strategies
  • Support branded content planning by compiling campaign examples and content ideas
  • Contribute to outreach efforts through prospecting, email creation, and marketing updates


Content Marketing



  • Help content marketers draft and organize content calendars for social campaigns
  • Contribute to performance tracking and insights reporting across digital channels
  • Assist in optimizing content for distribution across paid, owned, and earned platforms


Content & Affiliate Strategy



  • Assist in verifying and editing content for digital and magazines
  • Conduct background research to support storytelling and content development
  • Help source visuals, quotes, and data to enhance articles and marketing materials
  • Research products and develop content for affiliate campaigns
  • Help track performance metrics and assist with reporting for affiliate partners


Project Management



  • Help manage timelines, deliverables, and internal check-ins across cross-functional teams
  • Maintain documentation, task lists, and campaign trackers for live projects
  • Assist in streamlining communication between departments to ensure project efficiency


Requirements:



  • Actively pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree, or still within six months of graduation by the internship start date
  • Demonstrated strength in research, design, and communication
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Skilled at working collaboratively and adapting in a team environment
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks under pressure while producing high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
  • Brings a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and openness to taking on new challenges
  • Capable of managing time effectively and maintaining focus in both remote and in-person settings


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Actively pursuing a degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience interning in media or marketing and/or working on a school publication.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in media, marketing, or another relevant field.

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $20.00 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs.
