As part of Detection and Measurement, Radiodetection is a global leader in the design and development of equipment and software used by utility companies to install, protect, and maintain underground infrastructure networks. Through precision and magnetic locators and ground penetrating radar, we help prevent damage to infrastructure utilities and protect lives.

How You Will Make An Impact (JOB SUMMARY)

Radiodetection is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact.

This position is responsible for the department and workflow of shipping and receiving to ensure it is efficient and organized. Keeps department stocked of all necessary material and equipment needed to prepare and ship orders out in a timely manner. Prepares all shipment paperwork international and domestic. Follows up on any discrepancies found. Manages a team of shipping and receiving clerks. Provides backup to the Planner role.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

While each day brings new opportunities at Radiodetection, your core responsibilities will be:

  • Plan and manage all staffing levels in the Shipping/Receiving department.
  • Manage, recruit, interview, hire, train and monitor employees.
  • Communicate job expectations and responsibilities, while supervising, disciplining, managing and overseeing employees and work systems.
  • Encourage and motivate all employees to work and collaborate to meet goals, while fulfilling their job responsibilities and obligations.
  • Create and maintain a healthy and positive work culture.
  • Implement, establishes and meets departmental and company goals to improve business outcome.
  • Establish and maintain quality and customer service standards
  • Identifies problem areas and works to implement solutions to effectively resolve them
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items for outgoing shipments.
  • Receives and verifies incoming materials.
  • Assembles wooden and cardboard containers, applies labels to cartons.
  • Examines outgoing shipment to verify it meet specifications.
  • Operates forklift and uses hand truck to load and unload trucks.
  • Delivers orders in computer system and creates shipment paperwork.
  • May be required to back up Planner, manage backlog and pull picklists.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required Education / Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education / Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in Management
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
