HX5 is currently seeking a Mission Unique Equipment (MUE) Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in IT project teams, devise technical solutions to complicated issues and projects, and support systems
    sustainment.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 resolution for break-fix issues and hardware/software conflicts.
  • Support, installation, and configuration of mission unique software, workstation configurations and system administration.
  • Support, installation, and configuration of IT infrastructure; specifically, Fiber Optic, Cat6, COAX and audio video cabling.
  • Support the testing and installation of system patches, the completion of customer request impact assessments, and the execution of IT project planning and design activities to determine future requirements of customer hardware and software.
  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
  • Support requirements process by evaluating bill of materials, requirements traceability matrix and cost estimates.
  • Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software based on current industry standards, coordinates installation
    and provide backup recovery

Salary Information: This position is expected to pay $89,500 - $114,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certificationsthat are directly related to the position.

Education and Experience:

  • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • HS Diploma (or GED) and eight (8) years of general experience
    • Associate's degree and six (6) years of general experience
    • Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of general experience
    • Master's degree and two (2) years of general experience
  • Must have 5 years of directly related experience
  • Must have direct experience supporting the MDA at the MDIOC.
  • Must have an understanding of Microsoft Windows 11 Operating Systems, MS Office Products, and Visio.
  • Must have an understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Must have experience performing remote administration.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces for IT project requirements
  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE.
  • Must have DoD Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain DoD Top Secret Clearance w/ SCI
  • Have experience using the Remedy and Aspen applications

Desired Requirements:

  • Have experience in Fiber Termination and Splicing
  • Have experience Supporting the GM Customer
  • Have a GM Basic or Configuration Certificate
  • Have experience with audio visual systems
  • Have experience with Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Have experience with DoD and DISA Information Assurance programs
  • Have knowledge of Missile Defense, DoD communications systems and MDIOC operations.
  • Have a degree in an IT or Engineering related discipline
  • Have a current DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Have experience with facility-related technical drawings and topology

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, on-site position with primary duty hours between 0600-1800, Monday - Friday time period with occasional off shift, extended hours or weekend support requirements. Occasional local travel is necessary to support customer requirements and exercise support.

Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
