Electro-optical/Infrared Systems Engineering Intern ABOUT US Santa Barbara Infrared (SBIR) designs and manufactures the most technologically advanced infrared and electro-optical test instrumentation available. SBIR's broad line of innovative products support testing of military and commercial sensor systems and are used worldwide in laboratory, production, depot and field test applications. SBIR's focus is on providing well-engineered, cost-effective hardware and software solutions to the EO/IR community. Our extensive design capabilities cover the spectrum of infrared, laser, visible and dynamic scene projection applications. SBIR's proven systems engineering expertise combined with a practical, design-for-manufacturing approach results in production and custom instrumentation for the most discerning customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - EO/IR Systems Engineering Intern Through the application of fundamental engineering and physical principles, the Electro-optical/Infrared Systems Engineering Intern will support the design, analysis, and development of Santa Barbara Infrared's current and future electro-optical/infrared products. Working under technical direction, and with colleagues in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Assembly, Integration & Test, the Intern will support production programs and current and future development efforts. REQUIREMENTS- EO/IR Systems Engineering Intern The successful candidate must be currently attending a school of higher education with the goal of obtaining a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from a college or university or must possess equivalent work experience. Due to US Export Control Regulations compliance, eligible candidates MUST be a US citizen, permanent resident or a person who has been granted asylum; proper documentation is required.
