Title: Senior Accountant - External Reporting
Location: Clayton, MO

Salary: $99,750 - $150,500
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week

Focus: The Senior Accountant - External Reporting oversees the monthly consolidation and financial reporting process. This includes collaborating with Olin's divisional finance teams and external auditors to meet quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements, as well as managing the implementation of new accounting pronouncements or reporting standards.

Senior Accountant - External Reporting Essential Job Functions:
  • Supervise the monthly consolidation of financial results in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Collaborate to prepare and file financial SEC reports, including 10-Qs and 10-Ks, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP.
  • Analyze balance fluctuations on Olin's consolidated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including divisional finance personnel, investor relations, treasury, tax and legal departments.
  • Proactively research technical accounting and reporting matters, stay abreast of pending changes in relevant technical guidance, and analyze the potential impact on the company.
  • Write, implement and ensure consistent and accurate implementation of accounting policies, particularly regarding U.S. GAAP matters.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of Olin's quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations or other materials which are publicly available.
Senior Accountant - External Reporting Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree* in Accounting or closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting related work experience at a public accounting firm or with SEC reporting at a private company.
  • Knowledge of external reporting software (WDesk), ERP systems (SAP) and consolidation software, SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC), preferred.
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required; prior Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and oral communication skills required.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and collaborating across departments preferred.
