Position Summary |
We seek a qualified individual with expertise in immunology and in vivo modeling to integrate into our vibrant cancer immunotherapy team. At the bench, the individual will perform a high volume of in vivo experiments, flow cytometry, spatial biology, and other immune-based assays for large-scale research project(s). The successful candidate will work closely with laboratory members to ensure timely submission and presentation of scientific data to the PI. Manuscript and grant preparation may be required. General laboratory duties will be assigned as needed.
The translational research environment is cooperative and exciting and we are proximal to multiple other high impact clinical research groups that are defining the future of cancer care. Under guidance from the principal investigator and collaborating physicians, and in cooperation with multiple laboratory members and students, the successful applicant will spearhead the research project and other collaborative efforts within Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (
LCCC) with ample potential for individual professional growth. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Exposure to Cellular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry or similar discipline. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Expertise in flow cytometry and in vivo modeling. |
Special Physical/Mental Requirements |
Ability to: move 20 lbs., handle small animals (mice), perform laboratory procedures requiring manual dexterity, follow safety protocols and work with biohazardous materials, communicate effectively in verbal and written English. All duties to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. |
