The Gracz lab is hiring a postdoc to join our lab in the Department of Cell Biology & Physiology. We are interested in understanding the genetic regulation of tissue regeneration in the intestine and liver. Our work focuses on the intersection of transcriptional regulation, chromatin, and cell biology.

This position will be instrumental in driving projects in chromatin regulation of intestinal stem cell injury and regeneration. Key scientific questions will focus on understanding transcriptional and chromatin regulatory mechanisms underlying return to homeostasis following inflammation/injury and long-term, damage-induced changes to the intestinal epithelium.

Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Genetics, Health Biology, or a related biomedical discipline

Ability to conduct independent research in gastrointestinal biology and disease, as evident by first author publications in peer reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences. Technical expertise in cell and molecular biology and genetics. Experience using mouse models to study tissue biology.

Expertise in intestinal epithelial biology, including in vivo injury/regeneration experiments, and mouse/human organoid cultures. Experience in conducting bulk and single cell transcriptomic and chromatin assays.
