Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Boutique Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the Cingari Famiy Boutique. Supervise retail and clinical staff this includes Boutique Assistants(s), Mastectomy Fitters, Hairdressers and Boutique Volunteers. Other day to day functions include, formulating pricing policies, store display, shop appearance, identifying new products and vendors for shop, evaluate on-the-job performance, identify market trends that appeal to customers, approve store vendors, maintain inventory, offer in store promotions, utilize POS system to record sales figures, daily deposits, and develop staff schedules.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Handling customer complaints and issues faced by staff. This includes customer and patient complaints to be navigated through the hospital patient relations department.
  • 2. Supports program manager in growing and nurturing philanthropic support to reduce disparities throughout the Greater New Haven area. This includes accurate reporting of grant money spent as at the request of the hospital development office.
  • 3. Manages schedule and coordinates staffs in/out patient clinical schedule in Smilow Cancer Boutique. Full coverage of the Boutique hours in compliance with BOC and JCN accreditation.
  • 4. Creates a model throughout the cancer hospital to accept and support new and returning patient 's throughout Cancer Boutique services.
  • 5. Supports the schedule and function of the Patient & Family Resource Center.
  • 6. Performs purchasing functions seasonally to appropriately stock the retail portion of the Boutique. Required to maintain a current knowledge regarding new services and products both in retail and DME.
  • 7. Supervises, evaluates and disciplines staff as required. Staffs both Boutique and Resource center with qualified volunteers as necessary and critics their performance.
  • 8. Coordinates efforts to offer boutique services throughout the care network.
  • 9. Continually monitors compliance with BOC, JCN, CMS and other accreditation agencies. Works with Program Manager to correct deficiencies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Associates Degree Required; Bachelors Degree Preferred

EXPERIENCE

Demonstrates an understanding of Durable Medical Equipment. Experience of 8 or more years in a retail environment. Epic experience required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Ability to provide a positive experience to the clientele by demonstrating caring and sensitivity as well as a practical knowledge of the appropriate DME available to meet the clients needs.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

The ability to stand for long periods of time, lift objects overhead as well as the ability to lift 25 pounds or more required.
