DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be tasked with preparing the department's budget and continuously monitoring program expenditure while compiling fiscal and statistical data. You will oversee the creation of the budget request for the Intellectual Disabilities-State Centers and Intellectual Disabilities-Intermediate Care Facilities programs, which is submitted to the Governor's Office of the Budget (GBO). This process involves projecting personnel, operating, and fixed asset costs for the State Centers, as well as estimating grants and subsidies for the Intermediate Care Facilities. Additionally, you will prepare fiscal and statistical information aligned with the Governor's recommended budget for the Budget Hearings with the Legislative Appropriations Committees, along with necessary documentation to respond to legislative inquiries. Furthermore, you will develop the department's re-budget request for assigned programs based on enacted appropriations, ensuring alignment with departmental fiscal and programmatic priorities before submission to the GBO, and you will also conduct year-end closing activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, with required 1 office day per month, as determined by the division director and/or bureau director. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Financial Programs Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in paraprofessional fiscal administration work, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
