Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of the Professional and Technical Services (P&TS) group supporting the LASSO contract at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC). The P&TS Manager will oversee a diverse group of over a dozen laboratories, including robotics, biology, physics, chemistry, and more.

Required Qualifications / Skills

• 10 years of related experience in a technical engineering or scientific field.
• 5 years of experience in a lead or management position of a technical or scientific team.
• Master's degree in a related discipline.
• Strong existing network and knowledge of the customer's processes related to technology development at KSC.

Responsibilities

• Manage a network of supervisors and their teams, focusing on delivering LASSO's technology development projects on time and within budget.
• Meet with customers regularly to provide status, anticipate, and deliver on their needs.

• Coordinate with other business entities like Finance, HR, and procurement to ensure your group work's runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards across all laboratories.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of laboratory teams, providing feedback and support for professional development.
