Location:

Radnor, PA (Airgas HO) - Management - AMG-Corp How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Senior Accounting Analyst will support the business objectives based on the Controller organization's scope of responsibility. Key responsibilities include financial accounting and reporting, month-end close processes, general ledger account analyses, reconciliation review, preparation and posting of journal entries, research, analyses and reporting, internal reporting requests, and fulfilling audit requests. This role will also liaison with ALABS shared services functions

Essential Duties & Responsibilities May Include:

  • Month-end procedures, including preparation and posting of journal entries (General Accounting/Accruals, Inventory/Stock, Product Costing).
  • Performing tasks to ensure accurate financial and statistical close processes, in conjunction with ALABS, including general ledger account reconciliations and other analyses.
  • Performing the product costing process, including calculating and updating standard gas and hard-goods costs, daily Moving Average Price (MAP) analysis, and cost of sales account analysis.
  • Preparing reports and other information related to internal requests from Divisions/branches and Corporate.
  • Participating in ongoing enhancements to accounting and reporting processes.
  • Supporting and providing direction/training to the accounting staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with company financial policies/procedures.
  • Building effective relationships within the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA and/or MBA in Finance/Accounting a plus.

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of three years financial reporting/financial accounting experience; public accounting experience and exposure to medium-to-large companies a plus.
  • Advanced experience with SAP software a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of general accounting matters and IFRS/GAAP.
  • Strong "client service" mindset.
  • Proven organizational, team-building, and people skills; ability to work within a complex matrixed organization.
  • Ability to assume increasing responsibilities in a rapidly-changing environment.
  • Ability to understand the impact of new technologies on processes and costs.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Google suite and Excel); experience with SAP and/or ERP systems a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience integrating new technologies into day-to-day operations.
  • Vision, creativity, and a quality mindset.
