After Treatment System Technical Lead

This technical lead position will focus on performing after-treatment system simulation and following analysis to support production and development projects. The lead will be responsible to manage engineers to develop, run, post process simulations, and communicate results with internal customers. The individual will receive requests from product responsible department and respond with analytical results using available tools/methodology, and will be leading the development of new tool/methodology to close identified gaps. He/she will support all aspects of technical oversight, roadmap development, and execution of methodologies in simulation capability development of ATS.

The responsibility of the lead position will include, but not limited to:
-Identify current gaps in ATS and EVAP modeling methodologies and develop plans for methodology development
-Lead After-treatment system and EVAP model development
-Provide suggestions and recommendations for ATS system optimization
-Train and coach and provide technical support to engineers
-Follow up team progress and review technical reports
-Document ATS system modeling methodology

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering, Applied Physics or related degree field
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in ATS simulation/test, combustion, CFD or related areas.
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools for ATS modeling and simulation (e.g. Axisuite, GT-Power, Boost, Star-CCM+, Converge, Fluent, AVL-Fire etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Outstanding interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated technical problem solving



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master of Science degree in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Applied Physics or related degree field
  • Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering (Combustion area) or Chemical Engineering (Catalyst area)
  • Good overall knowledge of emission control technology in current gasoline/diesel vehicles, catalytic reaction kinetics, engine combustion, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
  • Experience in catalytic material synthesize/modeling/test
  • Experience in filter modeling such as DPF and GPF
  • Good skill in programming with commercial software (e.g. Matlab Simulink, Visual Basic, Visual C++)
