TITLE: Offboard Software Tester and Team Lead DUTIES: Review user stories and identify test gaps and automation candidates; develop manual test cases, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT); flash firmware and software updates Over the Air (OTA) to the Telematics box unit and Head Unit and Validating the All the ECUs (Electronic Control Unit); set up the technical bench for Telematics and Head Unit validation in respective Environment; oversee the validation process to ensure seamless integration and functionality of communication channels between vehicles and external devices; develop and validate Connected Vehicle electrical systems for EVs, focusing on the design and integration of connectivity features into EV platforms; lead validation efforts for V2X (Vehicle to x, everything - cloud, pedestrian, environment, vehicles, etc.) communication protocols to ensure seamless connectivity and reliability for enhanced vehicle safety and efficiency; develop and implement comprehensive validation strategies tailored to the unique requirements of each brand and vehicle model; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of connected vehicle features across various vehicle platforms, including internal combustion engine (ICE), battery electric vehicle (BEV), and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV); utilize diagnostic tools and methodologies to conduct in-depth analysis of CAN (Controller Area Network) bus data and validate compatibility across diverse vehicle architectures; champion the adoption of innovative validation methodologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of validation processes; execute test cases for each sprint and verifying that the design meets specific criteria and requirements; ensure that the designed digital experience meets the needs and expectations of users and the business; script regression tests within sprints and completing scripting after builds are released and manually tested in pre-production environments; manage defects within defect management tools, including evidence, logs, and screenshots; maintain traceability between user stories, acceptance criteria, manual and automated tests, and defects. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering or related and 5 years of experience in job offered, Connectivity Software Validation Engineer or related. Experience must include: 3 years software validation experience in Automotive software; working with SDLC models, including Agile, Waterfall, V-Model, and iterative development; conducting peer code reviews, running tools to identify bugs, code smells, or potential vulnerabilities; working with different validation techniques, including black-box, white-box, and graybox testing; performing functional and non-functional testing on software products, including regression, load, and performance testing; conducting requirements traceability to ensure all specifications are tested, and validating customer requirements through prototype feedback; and experience with quality assurance (QA) practices, including: Defining quality objectives, documenting quality assurance procedures, creating a quality assurance team and conducting external quality reviews.
