ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Provide day-to-day clinical risk management support to the field for patient safety, clinical, risk, behavioral and technical issues
  • Position provides clinical risk management support for assigned division(s)
  • Coordinate with the Kidney Care Litigation Team as needed
  • Perform review and triage of the Adverse Occurrence Reports (AORs) and Event Management Reports for proactive analysis of patient safety, facility trends and potential litigation.
  • Direct and communicate with other Risk team members, facility leadership, clinical leadership and other support lanes related to investigations at the direction of Risk Management
  • Document investigations and field calls in the new Risk Event Management (REM) system and communicate with other support lanes as necessary
  • Develop action plans based on risk data to proactively manage risk and patient safety concerns.
  • Provide education related to various Risk Management topics within assigned area or nationally
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
    • Attend staff meetings, phone conferences and training as needed
    • Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
    • Travel required: up to 10%
  • Participate in Legal Department initiatives and functions as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of CMS ESRD Conditions for Coverage
  • Minimum 3 years dialysis experience
  • Manager Clinical Services or Clinical Facility Administrator experience preferred
  • Must be able to work autonomously and be flexible with scheduling
  • Intermediate computer skills to include basic proficiency in typing, MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary/ Wage Range

$68,400.00-$100,400.00 / year If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.
* New York Exempt:
*New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year
*Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year
*Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year
New York Non-exempt:
*New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour
*Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour
*Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour
Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year
Washington Non-exempt:
*Bellingham: $17.66/hour
*Burien: $21.16/hour
*Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour
*Renton: $20.90/hour
*Seattle: $20.76/hour
*Tukwila: $21.10/hour
*Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour
