Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Audit Manager to join their finance team. This role must have proven experience leading risk-based audits and strategic projects across diverse industries at both the corporate and business-unit level. Skilled in developing and executing comprehensive audit plans, managing full project lifecycles, and delivering high-impact value-add engagements such as M&A due diligence, finance integration/separation, and operational reviews. Known for strong leadership and team development capabilities, fostering high-performing, collaborative environments.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audits across multiple industries ensuring timely and thorough execution from planning through reporting.
  • Develop and implement risk-based audit approaches for operational and strategic projects, including the review of audit programs and overall project lifecycle accountability.
  • Support value-add initiatives such as M&A due diligence, finance integration/separation, process improvement, interim finance leadership, and other special projects.
  • Coach and manage team members to promote professional growth, enhance team engagement, and expand execution capacity across audit and advisory engagements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (e.g., Legal, Tax, Accounting, FP&A, IR, Business Unit CFOs) to ensure alignment and communication on audit findings and project outcomes.
  • Operate effectively in a lean, high-performance corporate environment, demonstrating agility, strong analytical skills, service orientation, and sound decision-making.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field?required.
  • Active CPA certification required.
  • Experience with ASC606 and SOX preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of accounting experience- public preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite, Great Plains, Oracle or SAP is required.
  • Experience at a large accounting firm should include involvement in audit, advisory, or related professional services.
