The Role

Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison between USTA Coaching and the USTA Sections. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of USTA Coaching education, coaching services, and events within each Section. The Manager will provide ongoing support, communication, and updates to Sections, and collaborate with designated Section staff to ensure alignment and maximize impact.

Primary Point of Contact:

    Serve as the main point of contact for USTA Sections regarding all USTA Coaching programs, services, and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Section leadership and designated staff.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to Section inquiries and requests.
  • Track and monitor the implementation and impact of USTA Coaching programs within each Section.
  • Prepare regular reports on Section engagement, program delivery, and key performance indicators.

Section Delivery Oversight:

  • In collaboration with the Education Delivery department, ensure that USTA Coaching programs are implemented with consistency and quality across all Sections.
  • Provide guidance and support to Sections in adapting and customizing programs to meet their specific needs and contexts.

Support and Updates:

  • Provide regular updates to Sections on new USTA Coaching initiatives, resources, and best practices.
  • In collaboration with Marketing and the Sr. Director of Member Acquisition and Retention, develop and distribute communication materials to Sections, including newsletters, training guides, and program updates.
  • Offer ongoing support and assistance to Sections in promoting and implementing USTA Coaching programs.
  • Collaborate with Section Development team to ensure effective information dissemination and information sharing.

Collaboration with Section Staff:

  • Work closely with Section-nominated coach-focused staff members to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide training and resources to Section staff to enhance their knowledge and understanding of USTA Coaching programs.
  • Collaborate with Section staff to identify and address any challenges or barriers to program implementation.

Program Development and Feedback:

  • Gather feedback from Sections on the effectiveness and relevance of USTA Coaching programs.
  • Communicate Section feedback to the USTA Coaching team to inform program development and improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of new USTA Coaching programs and resources based on Section needs and best practices.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in sports management, education, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, education, or a related field, preferably within a sports organization.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders and building collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute programs effectively.

  • This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" and may allow for both remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $55,000 - $68,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
