Job Purpose: The Quality Technician will perform physical and analytical testing on foams and other materials to provide verification of product performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Receive, collect, and process samples for testing.
  • Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using appropriate technical equipment and instruments
  • Collect, record and report accurate test results using a computer.
  • Maintain test equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area
  • Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations



Education and/or Experience Qualifications:



  • High school diploma, GED or associate's degree. Graduate of technical high school is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Minimum of 1-2 years laboratory experience preferred
  • Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills, extremely organized, detail oriented and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks
  • Effective communication and people skills a must
  • Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement; ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Comfortable working with band saws and presses.
