Job Summary

Working alone or as part of a team under minimal or no supervision, provides intermediate to advanced level support to members of the healthcare community in a complex technical and process environment with a focus on utilizing systems analysis, requirements analysis, project management, technical knowledge, problem solving, organizing and communication skills at an intermediate to advanced level.

Essential Functions
  • Advanced level skills in systems analysis techniques and processes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of corporate usage standards/policies related to end user devices/technology.
  • Technical and functional understanding of corporate standard client devices for purpose of deployment, support, and customer education at an Advanced level.
  • Advanced knowledge of common micro-computer operating systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge or experience of computer security procedures and protocol.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and protocols at an intermediate skill level.
  • Dynamic knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of healthcare with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies and identify their potential impact within the existing environment at an intermediate level.
  • Advanced level ability to identify technical specifications to meet customer needs including operating systems, network protocols, application configuration.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and provide solutions using technology and/or process at the Advanced skill level.
  • Intermediate experience in project management, planning, organizing, and adapting within a multi-department, multi-tasking environment.
  • Serve as escalation point for peer resources, support tasks, project tasks in support of team and organizational goals at an Intermediate level.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation.
  • Advanced ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Advanced ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Willing to support an on-call rotation outside of business hours once every fourth week

Preferred

  • Master's Degree or equivalent
  • 7 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Experience supporting client, clinical and medical technologies and systems
  • Experience and proficiency in event correlation/log analysis, failure analysis/reporting, root cause analysis, risk assessment and troubleshooting
  • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating activities of numerous, diverse areas simultaneously
