Job Title: Infrastructure Technical Analyst - Cloud & Data Center Projects
Type: W2 Contract Duration: 6+ Months Location: 100% Remote (Must reside in EST or CST time zones) Compensation: $45-$55/hour (W2) About the Role We're seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Infrastructure Technical Analyst to support a range of strategic IT initiatives, including infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, compliance audits, and disaster recovery planning. This is a fully remote, contract-based role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys working across multiple infrastructure domains. Key Responsibilities 1. Infrastructure Modernization * Document current server and network topology * Collaborate with architects to define future-state diagrams for cloud migration * Conduct gap analysis between current and target environments * Draft technical requirements for decommissioning legacy systems 2. Cloud Migration Support * Gather cloud readiness requirements from application owners * Document on-prem infrastructure dependencies * Develop process flows for data migration and cutover planning * Assist project managers with risk and impact documentation 3. Security & Compliance Audit Support * Document infrastructure controls and access management processes * Create data flow and system boundary diagrams * Compile evidence for compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) * Maintain audit trails of infrastructure changes 4. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity * Document current DR architecture and failover processes * Identify gaps in RTO and RPO * Create runbooks and test plans for DR scenarios * Collaborate with teams to update DR documentation 5. Mergers & Acquisitions Integration * Document infrastructure environments across merging organizations * Identify overlaps and integration points * Create unified future-state infrastructure diagrams * Support phased integration and migration planning 6. Tooling & Automation Rollouts * Document manual processes and identify automation opportunities * Define requirements for tools like Ansible and Terraform * Create documentation for new automated workflows * Track adoption and usage metrics What You Bring * Strong documentation and technical writing skills * Strong requirement gathering skills * Must have experience with Visio * Experience working with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams * Familiarity with cloud migration, compliance, and automation tools * Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
