Fabrication Technician

VTG is seeking a Fabrication Technician located in our Fabrication Shop in Virginia Beach, VA.

Fabrication Technician is a professional responsible for various tasks that may include maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment or systems.

• Assemble and build: Install electrical and hydraulic components. Route both hydraulic hoses and electrical wire.
• Diagnosing Problems: Identifying issues with equipment or systems and determining the best way to correct them.
• Troubleshooting Equipment: Resolving problems with machinery or technology
• Running Tests: Conducting tests to ensure systems are operating correctly.
• Repairing or Replacing Faulty Equipment: Fixing or installing new parts to ensure proper equipment operation
• General Technicians are often required to have a good understanding of the equipment or systems they work with, which can be obtained through technical education, on-the-job training, and relevant certifications.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two (2) - Four (4) years of related experience
• Must be a US Citizen.
