Job Description
Summary Proof of US citizenship, nationality, and/or permanent resident status in order to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations. Primary responsibilities are to coordinate and direct the maintenance activities of the facility through the effective and efficient execution of the scheduled maintenance. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining good operating equipment by planning, scheduling, coordinating and overseeing routine maintenance and major equipment overhauls as well as coordinating preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Essential Functions
- Thorough understanding of plant equipment, processes and procedures.
- SAP skills needed to properly schedule, plan and execute orders.
- Fiscal and budgetary responsibility to control repair costs and service expenditures.
- Work with Operations Director on routine preventative and emergency maintenance schedules.
- Manages several projects involving multiple resources simultaneously.
- Develops full scope and extent of work needed, including cost and time required, to conduct the relevant repair, preventive, predictive, and improvement maintenance activities of the plant equipment, buildings, and grounds.
- Prepares job plans for scheduling, detailing parts, materials, special tools, external services and documentation with planned costs. Job plans to include the sequencing of associated tasks, taking into account multi-craft alignment.
- Competent in root cause failure analysis to continuously improve the mechanical reliability of the plant.
- Ensures that all maintenance personnel understand the work instructions using a procedures-based maintenance strategy and best practices for all maintenance tasks.
- Ensures maintenance personnel update and close each work order when completed.
- Prepares reports, collects and analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related and operation-related problems.
- Collaborates with maintenance manager and operations supervision to schedule day-to-day manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes
- Upholds programs and procedures required to ensure plant housekeeping.
- Personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Reviews timecards and approves hourly and salary payroll
- Actively involved in assessing employee performance.
- Monitors work practices, employee behavior and job performance to increase productivity, reduce costs and improve employee safety.
- Coordinates departments training activities.

Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and some electrical expertise in troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Computer skills are a must, with knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- De Knowledge of State/Federal EPA and OSHA compliance requirements.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and instruct others on its operation.
- Ability to accept and respond to changes and challenges in a positive manner.
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment including interactions with technical staff, administrative staff, business team leaders, and contract personnel.
- Ability to challenge the organization in a manner that maintains trust and respect.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to present complex topics in a concise manner.

Education and Experience
- BS-Engineering degree or BS Degree in a technical discipline or in lieu of a degree a minimum of 10 years of experience working in an operational role in which repair and OEE of equipment was a direct responsibility.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in a skilled maintenance role required. Requires experience in maintaining heavy industrial equipment, preferably in mechanical plant maintenance.
- Maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Five Years of experience in supervisory position.
- Six Sigma and Lean training a plus.
- Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel & Outlook. PowerPoint & Access optional
