Training & Development Manager - Lab - Lenexa, KS - Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

Manager, Training & Development role is responsible for the successful development, coordination, and implementation of processes and procedures to support the development and pipeline of future laboratory professionals.

Pay Range: $90,900+ per year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

  • Develop relationships and partnership with local Middle School and High School educators to educate on Medical Laboratory Science as a career
  • Partner with local high school educators to foster Real World Learning experiences through client connected projects, job shadowing, and internship opportunities
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with colleges and universities that offer Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Cytotechnology, or Histotechnology education programs
  • Facilitate and execute Clinical Rotation partnership agreements with applicable colleges and universities in collaboration with the Quest legal department
  • Promote and advocate internal personal development for MLS/MLT opportunities and leverage online educational partnership for Quest employees
  • Coordinate and facilitate onsite student tours and clinical rotation of MLT/MLS students
  • Function as a liaison for all Quest employees participating in online lab science programs.
  • Manage all employee agreements for online laboratory science programs
  • Participate in local recruitment opportunities and career fairs in high schools and universities as needed
  • Establish goals, accountabilities, action steps, milestones and timelines for Learning & Development Projects
  • Prepare and submit project updates
  • Partner with internal/external communities of practice to identify opportunities to leverage existing/emerging technologies at low to no-cost
  • Conduct on-going research into best practices in Learning/Training technologies and identify opportunities to increase utilization of training
  • Build and maintain Learning Dashboard and Metrics
  • Create a dashboard to provide visibility to upcoming changes/training and provide on-going communication to Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Group Leads.
  • Metrics to drive utilization and improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience:

  • 5+ years in a health care environment

Preferred Work Experience:

  • 5+ years leading adult learner training

EDUCATION
