Overview: Under the general direction of the Administrative Director of EMS the Regional EMS Manager manages and supervises the daily activities and operations of multiple EMS facilities and co-workers in a regional area, supporting the goals, objectives and leadership principles of Mercy EMS. Duties, functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:co-worker supervision, scheduling, performance evaluations, vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance, office files, statistical reports, state trip tickets, petty cash, fuel purchases, supply inventory, community relations, training and continuing education. Perform direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, basic and advanced life support according to the protocols and policies of Mercy Health System. Regional EMS Managers respond in the field throughout the assigned region in support of co-workers as needed. The incumbent of this position shall carry out his/her responsibility and integrate into his/her style of management the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and injured, respect for human life, and the dignity of each person, applying Christian values to all crucial human issues in the area over which he/she has responsibility.
