Job Title: Digital Content Accessibility Specialist *Location:* On-site in Augusta, Maine
*Contract Duration:* 5 months Job Overview We are seeking a skilled *Digital Content Accessibility Specialist* to evaluate and ensure accessibility compliance of two browser-based web applications currently in development. The role focuses on testing against *WCAG 2.1* and *Section 508* standards, following Digital Accessibility Policy. This includes both a vendor-provided solution and an internally developed application. Key Responsibilities * Conduct accessibility testing of web applications using WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 standards * Document findings and present digital reports outlining accessibility issues and solutions * Collaborate with development teams to propose and implement remediation strategies * Create final accessibility compliance reports for each application * Track and resolve issues affecting testing and development workflows * Research accessibility challenges and provide expert guidance * Participate in structured walk-throughs and inspections to ensure standards are met * Stay current with industry trends and apply best practices to accessibility efforts Qualifications * Minimum *4 years of experience* in accessibility testing of browser-based applications * Proven ability to document findings and deliver clear, actionable presentations * Strong understanding of accessibility compliance frameworks and testing methodologies * Experience working collaboratively with developers and testers Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.33 - $41.11/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
