The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Logistics Management Specialist - Senior to provide support for our government customer in Pensacola, Florida or remote.

This position is for a Logistics Management Specialist, specifically a Facilities Logistics Element Manager (LEM) within the RRL IPT, supporting the RRL program team. The role is responsible to the RRL Product Support Manager (PSM)/Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (APML) and the RRL IPT Lead.

The Facilities LEM serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for facility and infrastructure requirements, providing guidance and technical expertise for existing and new air systems for the Navy and Marine Corps.

The work is complex, requiring coordination with numerous stakeholders and detailed knowledge of facility policy and process tools. The purpose of the position is to ensure the Naval Aviation Systems Command and Facilities Enterprise team is efficiently provided with facility products and services to effectively manage fleet readiness issues.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinating with OPNAV on shore and afloat infrastructure planning, acting as the lead Military Construction (MILCON) SME
  • Refining requirements
  • Performing Analysis of Alternatives (AOA)
  • Assisting in basing efforts and analyzing facilities impacts.
  • Develop the Facilities Management Plan, document and communicate facilities requirements, perform site surveys, lead the stand-up of training and operational facilities, and anticipate broader infrastructure demands.
  • Apply Unified Facilities Criteria in MILCON facilities planning, initiate and lead special projects, and possess a thorough understanding of the interrelationships of facility design and construction cost with other professional disciplines.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Operates with considerable autonomy, keeping the RRL PSM/APML and Digital Acquisition IPT Lead informed of progress.
  • Guidelines include acquisition policies and processes from various organizations.
  • Provide logistics inputs to acquisition documents, in process reviews, supportability analyses review of Government-Furnished Information (GFI) and contract data submittals, IPS analyses and studies
  • Functional and configuration audits
  • Management/scan of engineering drawings
  • Update and revision of publications
  • Inventory management
  • Investigations of support requirements for fleet sites
  • Ensure all logistic elements are procured.
  • Acquiring, distributing, and replenishing inventories as reflected in the supply chain management strategy.
  • Review and/or develop Initial Support Kit Lists, Engineering Data for Provisioning, Special Tools and Test Equipment Lists, Bills of Material, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortage Reports and Plans
  • Legacy System Obsolescence Analyses
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Work Environment: primarily an office setting, but also includes site surveys and ship checks, potentially requiring travel and protective clothing.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
