Summary: Under general supervision of the EOHS Manager, functions as first line manager responsible for directing nursing care/administrative activities for an employee patient population within the ambulatory setting for Morton Hospital (shared with Saint Anne's Hospital and Brown University Physicians Group Massachusetts). Performs duties to support program goals, standards, and targets. Responsibilities: Participates with EOHS Management in development of department policies and procedures related to provision of nursing care to ambulatory patients.
Assists in assessment of quality of care, documenting compliance to employee and occupational health care standards, recommend corrective action and monitors effectiveness of interventions. May assist staff in implementation of new concepts and technology within the area of responsibility
Identifies training/development needs of staff to the manager to ensure continued development and maintenance of skills to meet nursing care standards. Approves and/or makes recommendations regarding vacations and other scheduled time off requests per clinical manager direction. Assists in coordinating the orientation of new staff members and evaluation of clinical competency. Performs other duties as assigned. Other information: BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Graduation from approved school of nursing. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Previous experience in Occupational Health, Ambulatory or Urgent Care is preferred.
