Job Summary:

Due to the nature of the role, we are only considering applicants who live within proximity to NYC.

As the Campaign & Marketing Assistant, Contract Employee, you will provide administrative support to our two Chief Campaign Development Officers (CCDOs) and to our Chief Marketing & Communications Officer (CMCO). You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline processes, organizing travel/meetings arrangements, and all other administrative support, as needed. You will support the leaders and their departments with presentations and deck preparation, coordination, and operational tasks, ensuring efficiency and organization. This essential position is perfect for you if you are comfortable managing multiple priorities and personalities, have strong organizational instincts, clear written and oral communication skills, and are a great project manager. We are open to this role working remotely, within the NYC area. Some in-office support will be required, as needed.

This is a contract employee role. This means that, while the position is at all times one of "at will employment", the Ad Council anticipates at present that the employment length would be approximately 6 months with the possibility to extend the contract. The compensation for this position is $5,250 monthly, paid semi-monthly, and you will be overtime-eligible. Contract employees will be eligible to participate in limited benefits and paid time off.

What you'll do:



  • Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day support to the CCDOs and CMCO, including calendar management, briefings, and operational logistics.
  • Meeting Coordination: Organize and manage virtual and in-person meetings:

    • Serve as the primary external contact for Ad Council's Creative Review Committee meetings, including tracking member engagement quarterly.
    • Act as liaison and primary point of contact for the NYC and Washington, D.C. offices. Manage logistics and communications with the shared office space lead (Avoq), including room reservations, security protocols, and meal coordination.


  • Travel Coordination: Plan and manage comprehensive travel arrangements and itineraries for the CCDOs and CMCO, ensuring efficient and seamless experiences.
  • Expense Management: Prepare and process accurate expense reports, maintaining adherence to budgetary guidelines and timelines.
  • Document & Budget Management: Support creation, organization, and tracking of executive-level documents and departmental budgets.
  • Sponsor & Partner Support: Maintain and update monthly lists of sponsors and agency partners.
  • Business Writing & Communications: Draft, proofread, and edit executive communications and documents to ensure clarity, professionalism, and alignment with leadership voice.
  • Presentation Development: Design and prepare PowerPoint presentations and supporting materials for meetings and external engagements.
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel to the D.C. area up to three times per year.


What you bring:



  • 2+ years of administrative and/or executive assistant experience
  • Strong business writing and editing skills
  • Strong communication skills, including comfort interfacing with C-suite leaders
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in technology including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Box, Google Workspace, and Slack
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborative work style with the ability to engage effectively across departments
  • Sound judgment and a warm, professional demeanor with a "can-do" attitude
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff within and outside of the department
  • Exercise good judgment: operate with warmth, and a 'can-do' mindset
