Our technology powers both cloud and on-premises environments, supporting OEMs in customizing Windows for new devices and empowering enterprise IT admins to deploy and manage Windows at scale.We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with excellent communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills. You will have a passion for quality and be a creative thinker. You will work closely with engineering teams across Microsoft, working on low-level systems, and developer tooling to ensure every update is fast, reliable and secure. Responsibilities* Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-quality code for mission-critical systems. * Make independent technical decisions and demonstrate ownership of features and deliverables.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, performance, and correctness of the OS update and recovery experience.* Take end-to-end responsibility for development, observability, quality, testing, and production readiness of the services you build.* Mentor and train team members, investing in the growth of an inclusive and capable team.* Participate in code reviews, bug triage, and support well-informed decisions toward business and engineering goals.* Debug and troubleshoot complex distributed systems, drive analysis of issues and outages, and implement durable system fixes.* Influence ongoing design, architecture, standards, and methods for operating software-defined services and systems. | |
